Born in Brazil, Ingrid’s life journey has taken her across continents, ultimately settling in South Africa. Her early career as an executive assistant and part-time fitness instructor provided a solid foundation for her dynamic and determined nature. A life-changing invitation from a friend to attend a Reiki course sparked a profound transformation, setting her on a new path of self-discovery and healing.
Driven by her passion for helping others, Ingrid enrolled in a social work degree, majoring in psychology through the University of South Africa. Balancing her studies, part-time work, married to her husband, and raising two young children under the age of six, she exemplified resilience and dedication.
Today, Ingrid is a seasoned psychotherapist with a special interest in clinical work, hypnotherapist, Somatic Therapist, and Reiki Master practitioner who continuously expands her knowledge in those fields. Her work is grounded, compassionate, and professional, offering clients a unique blend of evidence-based therapy and energy healing to support their personal growth and well-being.

When she was in her mid teens, she had several dreams which were confusing for her. Ingrid was dating her first serious boyfriend for approximately 18 months. One night , she dreamed that he had passed away and saw him laying peacefully in his coffin.
Not understanding the meaning of the dream and quite traumatised by the incident, she told her boyfriend about the disturbing dream and he said that if anything ever happened to him, that he would always be with her in Spirit.
Ingrid subsequently dreamed the exact same dream, waking up distressed. She once again shared her dream with her boyfriend. He again assured her that if anything should happen to him, that he would always be with her in Spirit.
Two weeks after her initial dream – her boyfriend committed suicide. He was 21 years old at the time.
Ingrid has had several premonitions since this incident, including where she predicted a friend’s car would be broken into. She dreamed that she and her husband took a vacation to an exotic island. In her dream, they had a room on the ground floor which lead straight onto the beach. She was standing by the glass sliding door when she saw the waves from the ocean getting closer and closer to the room, and said that she should close the sliding door to the room because, if the water seeped into the room, it would ruin the carpet and the furniture.
Shortly after this anxiety filled dream, a Tsunami struck Thailand and the surrounding islands in December 2004 leaving the area in total devastation with many people losing their lives.
Ingrid completed her BSW (Bachelor of Social Work Honours) through the University of South Africa (UNISA), and has special interest in the connection between the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of people. Her skills are regularly updated, keeping up with international counselling trends and different healing modalities. She is also volunteers at different welfare organizations and as a facilitator to primary and high school scholars in creating awareness of violence and abuse.
