People often ask: Is it necessary to have a proper qualification as a Healer?
We at Inner Essence Holistic Therapies strongly believe in education, earning of qualification and being registered with a governing body for several reasons:
1. Clients can research on one’s qualifications whether the qualification is authentic, if the healer (already having a strong intuition) studied under an authentic school & how long the qualification took to complete.
2. Is the teacher qualified to teach the art of spiritual healing & what is the quality of the work they teach.
3. A healer who belongs to a governing body has to have an authentic and recognised qualification and understand ethics to work with people. A governing body is there to protect the public as well as the professional, especially in the case of disputes.
A professional belonging to an authentic governing body may give the public a sense of professionalism. A person who works as a healer has a strong intuition but doesn’t necessarily understand what they are doing and therefore chooses to educate themselves to better understand what their natural healing abilities and techniques used before dealing directly with the public.
A qualification and proof thereof shows the client that the healer understands their craft in depth and is able to advise the client as best as they can to help the client with their dis-ease, and where necessary, refer the client to a medical professional for medical, psychological and psychiatric treatment when necessary.
